Once upon a time ... The history of the Obrieu vineyards is a little like the story of sleeping beauty and could begin with once upon a time...
It's awakening began with my grandfather, who was convinced that behind the ivy and brambles lay an exceptional place. He worked for several years, assited by my father, and created the vineyards that we know today. When my turn came to take this sleeping beauty by the hand, I decide to develop a domain with the help of my wife, Cécile, who is also a winemaker from Gigondas. We first began in the old charming barn, wich quickly became too small. By 2012, we had finished building a new winery, simple but very functional. Today we are restoring our farmhouse to finish our little paradise. Jean-Yves Perez |
